Biblical View:
Violence in Christian or Non-Christian marriage goes aginst scripture.
It is written in"Ephesians 5:25
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her."
That is God's heart desire for marriage! Period!

Perplexity Or Denial:
Unfortunately, domestic abuse is common place within marraiges in the church & domestic violence is very present. We do not know of any church that condones or embraces domestic violence and that is good news. However we know of many churches who are in denial, untrained on how to deal with or manage domestic violence. Far too many are ill equipped, unprepared and unresponsive to the CRY of many women in the house of God who are terrified by their husbands. for these women. life is a nightmare!

How do you know?
Someone once asked; "How do you detect domestic abuse or domestic violence in the church?" The answer is simple: Take a good look at the faces of women sitting next to you in the church. Look intently beneath the make up and mascara and you will see pain, sorrow and in many cases - bruises!

Ask the question; 'Are you okay? If and when she has the courage to tell you, then believe. love respect and support her. Nothing is worse than taking the risk of telling someone and then being treated as though you had exaggerated and it really couldn't be that bad.

Some pastors, churches and denominations allow church dogma or tradition to force victims to remain in these turbulent marriages.
Scriptures like."Wives obey hour husband" is commonly used to encourage women to submit to violence. Unfortunately, many women die from violent spousal abuse and some others commit suicide. This is the shame that goes on in our churches all over the world and
it is time to put a stop to it!

We welcome pastors and churches who have a desire to minister the love of Christ to victims of domestic abuse by personally volunteering their time, energy and talents to the cause. The importance of establishing a network of support and involvement from the churches in our community is evident and therefore the [CFCN] Church Faith Connection Network was created as a way to channel and coordinate that support and input from local churches that wants to play a vital role in helping victims.

Each pastor/church appoints 1/2members who serve as liaisons between their church and JHM Global. They keep their members informed about the ways in which God is using them & us to change the lives of abused women and children in the community. They also share information about our work, current needs, volunteer opportunities, prayer requests, coordinate help and support from church members. The CFCN is a vital link to increasing awareness of domestic abuse in the community.
